SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Downtown

I love staying at this hotel. The service…the room…covered parking **chefs kiss** nice little bar too. Will always be my choice to stay when in the area.

We went thru another website/server to book and were misinformed of some information. However, when we arrived and learned of this misinformation, the front desk was so willing to work with us and so understanding. After a long day of driving and moving out of one place and getting ready to move into our new place the next day, my husband and I were just so impressed and grateful for the staff to work with us. Would absolutely recommend staying here—great staff, wonderful amenities, and good location in Newark!

I stay here a lot for work and travel and never have a hard time with my accommodations at check in. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always friendly. Usually when I check in I’m greeted by Ella she is always kind, and does above and beyond. I recommend everyone in the area to stay here

Out for a work trip, we booked the meeting room for the day. It is a nice room, clean, lit with both sun lights and electric. It is a well equipped room with possibility to connect computer to a tv screen. It also has a white board and markers. So the room has everything we needed for a productive day. Unfortunately the cable HDMI setup for the the connection between computers and the TV screen was faulty. However, the hotel crew was very helpful and apologetic after sending a technician to fix the issue. We had to figure out a way to work without it. They promised to get it fixed asap. The hotel was very accommodating, the breakfast was fresh and delicious. I will recommend this hotel for team work.

She truly represents the spirit of hospitality at its finest. The way she welcomed me with such genuine care made me feel right at home from the very first moment. The hotel itself is immaculate — every corner shines with cleanliness and attention to detail. The modern design, fresh scent, and peaceful atmosphere reflect pride in every aspect of the hotel’s upkeep. My room is perfect — spacious, elegant, and spotless, with every detail thoughtfully arranged for comfort. What stood out most was not just the beautiful surroundings, but the heartfelt hospitality I received. It wasn’t just great service — it was kindness that came from the heart. Although I’ve only just checked in, I can already say this is one of the finest hotel experiences I’ve ever had — and I’ve stayed in many hotels across the country. SpringHill Suites Newark Downtown stands above the rest for its cleanliness, comfort, and genuine care. I would recommend this beautiful hotel 100% and beyond to anyone — from anywhere in the world — looking for peace, professionalism, and perfection all in one stay. I woke up feeling so refreshed and happy. The beds here are AMAZING! Love the mattress and sheets. I want to take the entire set home with me. Burnell at the front desk is so kind and helpful. I am feeling lots of gratitude this morning. Am sitting here enjoying the free breakfast ... it is standard fare for an economy hotel but the toppings for the oatmeal are FANTASTIC! I am not an oatmeal girl but when there is shredded coconut, various nuts and seeds, cranraisens, banana chips, blueberry compote, and more. ... i can't resist! Pure yum!

Really wanted to give them five stars but there were some things a miss about this particular location. The TV in my room wasn't working properly all the time, the noise level of the doors closing on nearby rooms was unusually loud and coffee at breakfast was like warm, not hot. The staff was nice and the atmosphere in the lobby area was vibrant. Throughout my stay I enjoyed the breakfast offerings and $6 dollar domestic beers served in the lobby lounge. Rooms were average, comfortable. Small fitness center, pool was closed. The enclosed garage was convenient. With access to building through key card. The accessible parking spaces in front of building weren't completely cleared of snow and ice during my stay. All in all a four stay hotel with a nice staff and cheap beer.

I love this hotel, it’s so clean comfortable and well designed. I do wish the pool was heated and the fridge would work automatically but it’s still one of the best hotels in the area!
